It is a sightseeing spot where many old Japanese buildings remain unknown to foreigners. Meiji-mura is one of the few places in Japan where visitors can ride on a steam locomotive. This is an excellent tourist attraction, though it is little known to foreigners. The historic buildings, which are more than 100 years old, have been relocated and preserved.
