Viewer discretion please. this is a video diary of our pigs life. This is day one. This video shows pigs very vocally protesting to being held to have cruel nose rings taken out. They are not in pain. yes discomfort being held. abd probably very frightened about being held as the last idiot out these vile pieces of metal in their noses. Nose rings are put into pigs noses to make it so they won&dig up soil. This is what pigs do... dig. These poor pigs didn&even get a ring. they got an idiot sharpen a piece of metal and drive it through their noses and curl it over. We had to get them out before letting them go free range or they wouldn&have been able to be caught to do it again. I don&agree with rings. We had to handle them rougher than we&like to as they were snapping at us to bite. We firstly checked the ring holes were aged so healed abd like any piercing had a tunnel through the meat... which ment there was an easy path out for the metal without bleeding or hurting more so the piglet. The problem was in looping it... but it was done and the pigs were soon free eating fresh grass and digging soft soil. I thought twice about this video upload...but felt it was their story and needed to be shown. Due to virus lockdown restrictions the vet wouldn&come out to just pull that out of their noses.
