HEVC H.265 Upload & Stream Test.

Please read below description & give viewing experience in comments. Only a very short video of old clips from last years Euro trip to test out HEVC (h.265) codec & if it reduces pixelation & blocky artifacts with streaming, which is a big problem with AVC (h.264) codec. HEVC or High Efficiency Video Codec is supposed to be or soon to be the successor & new HD video streaming standard to the long time standard of AVC (Advanced Video Codec) File sizes are much more compressed & done so way more efficiently, resulting in much smaller file sizes that retain the same video quality of h.264 files over 3 times larger. Was filmed on GoPro Hero 6 Black with protune on, flat color profile, 2.7k superview, 60fps, medium sharpness & applicable ND filter to allow rule of 180 (shutter speed twice frame rate so in this case frame rate = 60fps so shutter speed 1/120) Raw bit rate files at these settings are around 66Mbps Export settings out from Adobe Premiere Pro - H.265 Codec in .mp4 container - 2560 x 1440p - 59.94FPS - Render at Maximum Depth - Bitrate: 1 pass VBR Target 15Mbps Max 25Mbps - Quality: Highest (slowest) - Use maximum render quality Exported file size: 108MB Total bit rate: 15,118kbps I will do another test with 4K footage. Word of warning, export times are quite excessively increased when encoding with h.265 codec as the compression process is much more CPU intensive. Don&try without a high end high thread count CPU.
