Takapou Whariki

This is the first show in an exciting and challenging series of five Common Ground exhibitions, developed by Puke Ariki and supported by the TSB Community Trust. Over five years Puke Ariki will examine the differences and the common ground between Māori and other New Zealanders from the time of the Taranaki Wars through to today, looking at how some attitudes have changed and how some views have remained constant. This programme looks at the making of the first exhibition called Takapou Whariki. The second in the series, Whenua, is currently on exhibition.
