Sangean SR-36 AM FM Portable Radio Review

The new SR-36 AM FM portable radio from Sangean has generated much excitement for my viewers. How well will it perform? The purchase price puts it up into some solid competition. Features I like about this Radio: FM Reception is Above Average. Headphones sound is Great on FM. Speaker Audio is Fantastic. Simple to Use controls. Compact Form Factor. Tuning LED indicator. Can&leave home without it :) Uses Standard AA Batteries. Spot for a Carry Strap. Hinged Battery Door. FM Antenna has a nice Range of Motion. Sturdy Construction. Features that could be Added or Improved on: Fix Popping on AM circuit. Packaging. FM Stereo. Include a Carry Strap. Lower Price. Overall, this radio as it stands, Does Not get a recommended buy from me. It is too expensive and the AM reception is plagued with popping/crackling that comes through the speaker and headphones. The price should be lowered to around $15. Sangean&SR-35 would be my recommended pickup if you don&want a Sony.
