New Order, influential and acclaimed british quartet formed during the year 1980 in Manchester, Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom. Born from the band Joy Division, after the death of one of its members, make up their group with vocalists Bernard Sumner (+ guitarist, keyboardist, percussionist and composer), Peter Hook (+ bassist, guitarist, keyboardist and drummer), Stephen Morris (+drummer, composer and producer) and Gillian Gilbert (+keyboardist, guitarist, synthesizer, composer and producer).
