'Round Midnight' - solo jazz piano tutorial

&Midnight&- jazz piano tutorial. There are so many ways to play this great jazz ballad. I have added the usual annotations which describe the thinking behind some of the harmonic/melodic passages. This was improvised from a basic leadsheet (&Standards Real Book&p369 Sher Music). The notation came later - derived from the midi file that I recorded simultaneously with the video. Because it was played very freely, with no regular pulse, the notation had to be adjusted to fit the correct 32 bar format of the song. The result is fairly accurate, though not perfect! I used my Nord piano 2 - the Yamaha C7 studio grand - with some fine tuning of the EQ.
