Denny McLane, Regional Sales Manager at Aviom, shows us the Aviom A-16ii Personal Monitor Mixer at Full Compass Systems The A-16II Personal Mixer is an updated version of the original A-16 Personal Mixer, part of the Personal Monitor Mixing System. The A-16II Personal Mixer features newly designed higher voltage and higher current output circuitry. The new output design allows even high impedance headphones to be driven louder and cleaner. It also provides cleaner transient response to the entire range of output devices. A new plug auto-detect circuit at the output determines whether the device plugged into the A-16II&audio out jack is mono or stereo. This prevents shorting out one side of the mixer&stereo output electronics and makes it easier for the user to implement mono devices with the Personal Monitor Mixing System. When a mono plug is detected in the output jack, the circuit automatically pans the right channel information so that the individual channel balance remains accurate. Several new software enhancements have been added in response to input from users around the world. A new solo mode, called Held Solo, allows the user to remain in Solo mode and make channel selections without returning to Mix mode.
