&Mir Bistu Shein&is a Yiddish song by Jacob Jacobs (lyricist) and Shalom Secunda (composer) originally written for the 1932 Yiddish musical, Men Ken Lebn Nor Men Lost Nisht, "You could live, but they don&let you." It is performed here by Bridgett Nesfield (voice) and Massimo Zaru-Roque (bass and recording). Bridgett is pursuing her undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Jazz Studies, and is happy to serve as the Friends of Music Intern for Fall of 2020. Massimo is a recording engineer and bassist who pursued a degree in Music Technology while at Mason.
