Super Easy Blues Riff | Howlin&Wolf Killing Floor The classic blues song Killing Floor, by Howlin&Wolf. Famously covered by Led Zeppelin in "The Lemon Song." Legend has it, this is the song that Jimi Hendrix used to dethrone the current king of guitar - Eric Clapton. Clapton came to see this new American guitarist Jimi Hendrix live in London. He came in when Jimi was playing Killing Floor, and apparently Clapton&ego was completely crushed. Clapton was no longer "God." The basic original version of this song is not that challenging though! So don&get scared off by that intro. Hendrix and Zeppelin play a version of this song that is very different than the original - they play it way faster! This song will get you crushing a 12 bar blues, it will get alternate picking happening in your right hand, but most importantly you&be playing an essential piece of blues history.
