Sounding Altay Khomus - JAW HARP / Комус (варган) + Алтай

The variant of Jew&Harp presented here is called the Khomus. This is a traditional music instrument of folks of Yakutiya and Altay (the territory of Russia). It is an essential part of natives&festivals and is often used in religious rites of Altay&shamans, i.e. pagan (shamans) priests. The Altay shamans use Khomus for trance achievement.
