Gaerne Fastback Endurance: Long Term Boot Review

This is my review of the Gaerne Fastback Endurance boots. I&used them for several trail rides and a few Enduro races in a hot sub-tropical climate for about 5 months. So far, I&been impressed with the boot. Advantages: 1. Hand made in Italy with genuine leather. 2. A visually attractive appearance. 3. White is great for hot sunny weather. 4. Ample foot and ankle protection. 5. Reasonably light and not fatiguing to wear all day. 6. No break-in time required, comfortable out of the box. 7. Nice aluminum buckles. 8. Stitched construction means long life in a humid climate. Disadvantages: 1. A bit expensive at almost $400. 2. Not much rubber sheeting on the burn guard to grip the bike. 3. Insole is not very padded. 4. Mediocre traction on the ground for hiking. 5. Not waterproof. Overall - I really like the boot and will likely just buy another pair of Fastback boots once I wear these out. Great for trail riders - perhaps not so much for Motocross.
