Boardmaker Online #1: Create/Print/Save Picture Cards

Once you log in to your Boardmaker home page, you will scroll down to click on Create Activities. You can see there are so many templates that already exist, so feel free to play around with what is already here instead of reinventing the wheel. For this video, we are just creating new activity to print out picture cards quickly. Click on New Blank Activity. This part may take some time to load, depending on your wifi situation. Boardmaker is a fantastic resource, but it does take patience. Once the activity page pops up, we are going to start by making a button, about the size you would want a paper picture card to be. Select the button tool and click and drag until it’s the right size. Now let’s use the spray tool. Click and drag until you have enough squares. This helps you keep them the same size. Now I am making picture cards for my students to use to request rewards in the class. Click on the white so the buttons are not all highlighted, and then click on just one square at a time. Just start typing the word you want. I will type beads, and hit Return. Now I will select the picture I want. If you want a real photograph instead of a picture symbol, you repeat the process, but this time instead of symbols, I will click Web Search at the top. For some reason they make you click on the word and hit Return again. Now it will pull up a Google Image search so you can select a photo.
