Nikon D3400 vs Nikon D3300 - Best DSLR Camera Under $500

Hey whats up everyone, my names Chris Winter and today I’m going to a comparison between the Nikon D3300 and the Nikon D3400. Build Quality So let’s start off this comparison, by taking a look at the build quality and features of both the D3300 and the D3400. Now the first thing that you’re going to notice with both of these cameras is that from a far, they’re very similar. The D3400 inherited the D3300’s small size and form factor and it’s something that I’m glad they didn’t mess with. Having a small body and a small kit lens as well, really is something that I like, especially if you’re going to be travelling or taking a photos all day long. Interestingly enough, the newer D3400 is actually even lighter than the old version. Is it enough to notice, well not really, but I’m definitely not complaining. The D3400 comes in at 395 grams, compared to 460 grams of the older D3300, so if you are looking for a lighter package for travel photography, the D3400 will be the way to go. LCD Screen So I quickly wanted to talk about the LCD Screens on the back of both of these cameras, and as you can probably tell, not a whole lot has changed. Both cameras still have very good quality screens which come in at 921,600 dots and are actually very impressive in bright daylight. I recently did a comparison between the D3400 and the Canon T6 and found that the Nikon did have a brighter and better screen.
