My New Product Line Riding the MV Agusta F3 800 is an experience I will not soon forget. True to italian form and tradition this is really a race bike (sort of) tailored for the road. To be fair the bike is not without flaws but isn&that part of what makes us like somethings in a odd sort of way ? Maybe, maybe not. Suffice to say there really isn&any bike without some draw back .. but I have to say .. this bike has character in spades. My real gripe is that throttling issue (which we all have heard so much about). .. I was prepared for long before i got on the bike so it wasn&a real surprise to me and i made mental notes of it in the interim. I&say that for most experienced riders would get rather frustrated with that fact that attempting to downshift and match engine speed is somewhat frustrating (to say the least) and at the outset probably just barely livable at the worst. Adam Waheed (editor of Motorcycle USA) said it best when he stated that the problem would tend to be more pronounced on the road because public roads and conditions are going to vary to a larger degree than on the track where speeds and shifts are all consistently predictable according to the portion of the track being ridden .. This is never the case out on public roads which why this particular problem is accentuated. Other than this there is little about this motorcycle to find fault with. It&gorgeous in every way. Yes it makes an excellent conversation piece but who the hell wants...
