Schuco&John Deere 4955 in 1/32 The first Schuco model to feature on AgriFarmModels, and I believe a good choice. An old school cool John Deere model from yesteryear. The actual tractor, the 4955 or known as the 4960 in America was built in the early 90s in what was deemed a transitional period for John Deere as they revamped their larger tractor models. Schuco have made a number of 4000 series John Deeres, such as the 4650 on duals, the 4755, this 4955 with cab mounted exhaust and the newly released 4850. The 4955 started its production run from 2013. The packaging is all John Deere and something farm model fans will appreciate. Clear plastic viewing window to the front with actual tractor images on 3 sides. Even today the 4955 is a tractor very much sought after on modern farms. Opening the box, the 1/32 model is fixed to a hard plastic display base by 3 easily removed screws, only thing to look out for here is to make sure you use the correct screw driver and not destroy the screw heads !! Nice tidy weight to the piece due to a mostly zinc cast construction with plenty of detail right the way round. Starting from the front, the mounted metal weights are non removable. The flat bonnet nose has the older John Deere logo mounted underneath a row of 4 lights with an extra set of spot lights below. registration plate front and back reads R-TS-50, I am unsure the significance of this so if you know, please comment below.
