Today we review this great looking retro radio from Crosle. Script: Today I am reviewing this cool retro radio - The Crosley Ranchero. As you can see, it’s almost as if I picked this radio up straight from the 50’s. It costs £75 from Amazon, and comes in the colours black/ white and red. Build Quality The radio is fairly large, with the front being a foot wide. The sides have an elegant looking gloss black finish which doesn’t leave fingerprints every time you touch it. The front grill is made from aluminium and also looks very classy. The grill bends in slightly if you apply pressure but it’s no real problem. So altogether this feels like a very sturdy durable product. Features The radio has three main functions –FM Radio, AM Radio and Auxiliary. Three main modes can be switched through using the metal knob at the rear of the device. One small problem I found is that the switch has a smooth metal finish. Sometimes it’s hard to change the mode as the switch is hard to grip. The face of the device has two knobs. One for the tuner and one for the volume. Both work smoothly with no problem. There is also an analogue tuner which adds to the nostalgic retro look of the radio. Performance Even without connecting the supplied external antenna, the radio was able to pick up majority of the radio stations in the near vicinity. Attaching the antenna however made it even better and the audio quality for certain stations improved too. Overall audio quality is also very good. A...
