The tadpole later matures into a form of tadpole that has two legs emerging from both sides of its body. Later the tail of the tadpole shortens while two more limbs add to the body. This stage is called a froglet because it looks pretty much like a frog but for the existence of a short tail. The tail gradually falls off as the frog becomes an adult.
