apply layer mask greyed out | FIX

In one of my videos, I&shown how to crop an image within a layer instead of cropping the actual image itself by using layer mask in photoshop. After finishing cropping, one of the best thing to do is to apply mask so that the mask and the original layer would merge. However, you won&be able to do so without converting the object (layer) into a smart object. Basically, after you&converted to into smart object, you could do as you please!
