I&never been a fan of Pulp Fiction and in general of Quentin Tarantino&movies, but I must admit they are extremely well crafted, especially the sound tracks. Dick Dale&Misirlou was a long forgotten song until 1994. It has to be played so loud and fast and furious (152 bpm!) that back in the day, the legendary surf music guitar hero from SoCal literally burned several amplifiers until Leo Fender himself found a way to fix the problem and issued the 100 Watts Dual Showman amp. Here, I&just using an amp simulation. Also, the song was inspired by a folk song from the Eastern Mediterranean region, with origins in the Ottoman Empire, where Dick Dale&family was originally from. * Guitars Gibson Les Paul Studio Tangerine Burst: Ibanez RG270DX with GFS P90 pickups: * Amp: Positive Grid Spark Amp Pearl Edition: * Tab: * More on Dick Dale:
