Custom Kershaw One Ton in Bohler K110 (D2)

Finally Finished the custom Kershaw one ton that I started a year ago. The blade is made of Bohler K110, which is an analogue of D2. I had the blade heat treated by Peters&Heat Treat and it is taken to a hardness of 61 HRC and has a full cryo cycle. The replacement blade was designed to perform well, not look pretty, however, the finished product doesn&look too bad. The blade was given a full height convex grind that has a final edge thickness of .008" and has been sharpened on the wicked edge at 15.00 dps...and yes it cuts extremely well! Overall, the performance over the stock model is much improved.
