The Porsche Carrera GT vs The 918 Spyder!

Two classic Porsches. The completely mechanical Porsche 918 Spyder versus the innovative hybrid Carrera GT, the old and the new! Which one will come out on top? We totally adore the Porsche 918. It’s a modern hyper car that gives us a sneak-peek into where the hyper cars of tomorrow are headed. Even if there is some tension about what transportation might look like in the future, we can’t deny that the Porsche 918 makes us giddy on the inside with excitement. But it’s nearly impossible to please everyone. Some prefer a more mechanical, analogue ride while others like the comforts that more modern, hi-tech vehicles provide. For those that are fans of the old-school type cars that are not controlled by means of a computer, it’s the Carrera GT that easily wins over the 918. At first glance, it just doesn’t make sense, right? Why would someone choose a ride that’s slower, less comfortable, and even less reliable, like the Carrera GT compared to the 918? The 918 is obviously the future and is a showcase of Porsche’s technical expertise and innovation in design. Still, Porsche Purists won’t care. When they imagine every ingredient of what would make their perfect hyper car, they would probably come out with something startlingly similar to the Carrera GT. A manual gearbox; no excess lard; sharp, challenging handling; and a powerful engine that howls to the point of, dare I say, exhaustion.
