Berlin School Experiment 20: Crave&First Flight So it has been a while since I posted a new music video. I have been working on a project that may come to light next January, so I have been spending more time mixing/recording and less time jamming. But this week, the Behringer Crave came into my house and I just had to jam a little bit with it in my favourite style ;) As you can see, I start with a clean sequencer, and do some live editing, while improvising the background pads on the Microkorg. I haven&used the Microkorg in a while and and completely forgot it does not feature a sustain pedal input (nor does it respond to a sustain CC from an external controller)... it was only in the middle of the recording that I noticed that my left hand cannot span the space between the Shift and Step 8 keys on the Crave&sequencer section, hence the doubling the the last note on the sequencer. Out of the picture, the sound of the Crave is being processed using Chorus, Echo and Reverb. The sound was recorded directly into Ardour (4 channels) and subjected to some minimal treatment (balance levels, EQ, tape saturation and compression). The video was edited in Kdenlive. I hope you enjoy this jam as much as I did making it. Tags: #SpaceMusic Gear used (affiliate links are provided where available):
