How to use Novorapid Flexpen (GDM)

Novorapid is a rapid acting insulin taken before meals to reduce the rise in blood glucose levels from food. When you have Gestational Diabetes, Novorapid insulin can be used when eating to keep your post meal blood glucose level in a healthy range. Remember - new needle and new injection site each time. Please remember to carry jellybeans, juice or other fast acting sugar when using insulin, in case blood glucose levels go too low (‘hypo’, when pregnant - less than 3.8mmol/L )
