Nissan X-Trail T30 Fuel pump and filter problem repair

I repaired my Nissan Xtrail by replacing the fuel Strainer assembly, which is basically the syphon pump with filter. mine failed and was no longer able to draw fuel through. The original part number was 16400-8H80C The part I replaced it with is 16400-JR00B The only difference was the direction of the outlet, so I modified the metal bracket that holds the part in place.
