Unboxing Portta HDMI 2.0 Premium Cables and comparing it with HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 1.3 (High Speed and Standard) cables. I also compare with standard PS4 HDMI 1.4 cable. Not many people know the difference between HDMI cables with different versions. This video shows you what the cables look like between different versions and also provides you with a quick guide to the features included in each incremental version. The biggest difference is resolution (4096×2160 60fps vs 4096×2160 30fps 2560x1600 for HDMI 2.0 vs HDMI 1.4 vs HDMI 1.3 respectively). Also, HDMI 2.0 supports 18Gbps, while anything lower supports 10.2Gbps. Others, for example, HDMI 2.0 added Rec. 2020 color profile, 4K 60fps, and 1536 kHz audio support, YCbCr 4:2:0, 32 channel audio, 4 audio streams, etc. HDMI 1.4 added 3D over HDMI, Ethernet channel, Audio return channel (ARC), and 4K at 30 fps. HDMI 1.3 added Deep color, xvYCC, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio. In order to differentiate between these versions quicker, the HDMI committee now just forces the cable companies to just label their cables either HDMI High Speed or HDMI Standard cables. HDMI High Speed cables support 4K, 1080p, 3D, and deep color. Standard cables support 1080i and 720p (bare minimum for HDMI cables). Also, they may be labeled "with Ethernet" to indicate they support HEC (Ethernet over HDMI).
