The Meiji Jingu Shrine is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his wife Empress Shoken. It was originally completed in 1920. It is the most popular New Years Shrine in Tokyo and continues to attract millions of visitors each year. It is unique in many ways and is a must see for anyone coming to Tokyo.
