Transitioning into Leca from Fluval Stratum & Pon (Begonia Ginny Galaxy) + 3 Week Update! Thank you Leafecho on Etsy for this beautiful Ginny Galaxy Begonia! You can visit their shop here: In this video Mike talks about and demonstrates how to transition a Begonia Ginny Galaxy into LECA from fluval stratum mixed with pon. We decided to give the begonia some time to grow and show a 3 week update and, wow after comparing shots from it first being potted up until now, it really is impressive the growth it’s had! There are 4 new leaves already and it looks much fuller now than it did before. On the back side, the new leaves that are growing have a surprisingly peachy color to the variegation which we are guessing is due to it being new growth. The net pots we use are AC Infinity 3” netpots from Amazon. The cache pots are plastic tumbler cups from Target, currently ¢50! Let us just say that this transition was both extremely exciting and nerve racking. This little one was $110!! We’re not mentioning this to brag, but as we find more plants and things we fall in love with, some like this colorful begonia come with a big price! For us, it’s worth it. When finding a plant we’d be obsessed to watch grow, we’d rather allow ourselves to have the experience of growing it, than hold back unless it is truly just unrealistic. We really hope you guys enjoyed this video and can help with your journey in semi-hydroponic. Ever since discovering water culture, it’s truly...
