Nicky Romero Kickstart by cableguys & Nicky Romero is one of the most widely used plugin for applying quick sidechaining among music producers. The new kickstart 2 plugin comes with the same easy-to-use interface and basic features as the first version, however, it also comes with some really welcomed upgrades which makes the plugin much more usable. One of my favorite new features in kickstart 2 is the new audio trigger feature. This allows you to sidechain based on the incoming audio signal. It now also supports midi triggering. The original kickstart plugin didn&have this functionality. Kickstart 2 also provides band split and the curves are now adjustable. All in all, this makes it much more usable for music production because you can tweak it to your needs, and because of the new audio triggering and midi triggering, you&rarely need traditional sidechaining anymore. it&still not as adjustable as LFOtool, but that¬ the point of this plugin. This is meant as a dedicated sidechain tool, and it&designed to be very quick and easy to use.
