Is your power steering starting to stick or freeze momentarily or are you hearing the power steering motor making a whining sound? This could mean that you power steering fluid or oil is dirty and needs replacing. There is regular maintained that should be done per your car’s owner’s manual. If that has not been done, then check the fluid and most likely it needs replacing. This video will show how to replace the power steer fluid or oil. This video uses a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GT to demonstrate this procedure. However, the method in general, can be applied to many other cars and models. Some vehicles require that the car engine be running, like a GMC Safari or Chevy Astro. A quick online search will let you know this. use PSF-4 oil. As this fluid is synthetic, and is an upgrade from the PSF-3 fluid. you can use this fluid too: Idemitsu PSF Universal Power Steering Fluid for Asian Vehicles - 12 oz.
