KnifeHog&Addison reviews the Canadian Belt Knife from Cold Steel. See what she has to say about this new spin on an old classic. Rating: 4 stars Taking its inspiration from the 1950’s classic, the Canadian Belt knife is an excellent small game hunting and general outdoor knife. With an overall length of 8 ½”, and blade measuring 4” and weighing in at 2.2 ounces, this knife is one lightweight outdoor tool. The blade of this knife is constructed of German 4116 Krupp stainless steel and features a plain, flat grind. The blade of this knife is so tough and sharp that it could be used to process fish, small game, birds and cut through materials like rope and twine. This knife’s handle is composed of a molded polypropylene material that fits your hand comfortably and provides you with an excellent grip. A basic nylon sheath also comes included with this knife and is fitted for right handed belt carry only. Overall, the Canadian Belt knife is an excellent outdoor tool. Its incredibly tough blade steel, unique blade shape, durable handle material and lightweight structure make this knife ideal for use during a camping, hunting or fishing trip. Although it serves as a modern take of the classic Canadian Belt knife, it still holds a lot of the same durable and reliable features of its predecessor. The only negative thing I really have to say about this knife is that the handle does not have much texture, but the contour of it is so form fitting that it will still fill your hand...
