Full longplay / playthrough / walkthrough / trueplay as Ryu in arcade mode. A showcase of the original alpha/zero arcade included on the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology an excellent collection that puts the recent Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection in its place. The Street Fighter Alpha Anthology included a wealth of extras on it, including many of the extra modes added for the home console release. Unlike the poorly emulated 30th Anniversary edition, which couldn&even include Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold/Dash or Street Fighter 3 Upper. Our only complain with the collection is the lack of display options, most noticeable the aspect ratio isn&100% true to the original and even on 480p via component the picture is a tad blurry and not sharp like the Saturn port. While the original alpha may have been surpassed by its sequels, there no doubt the original still has a lot of charm. A touch slower than the later games and includes a lot of high damage moves. It quite easy to spot in gameplay elements that would be rebalanced later on. The art direction for the series was sublime and set the way for many games to come using this style. Even today, it still looks timeless and puts many recent 2D pixel games to shame. As a game it certainly feel a touch more purer than the cumbersome Alpha 3 and the needless systems it added. The less said about Street Fighter V the better, but you known when a 1995 feels and plays better than a 2016, something is a miss at Capcom. This is...
