Kizlyar Supreme Ural Field review English Here I review a fantastic Hunting and camping knife, the Kizlyar Supreme URAL with a convex grind.. The Ural has a full convex grind and my model is made with uddeholm&Sleipner tool steel. This is my third knife in Sleipner (one custom, and two production) and the performance is basically all the same, GREAT!. Edge holding is fantastic against sideways dragging, dirty hardwoods, cutting against HDPE blocks, and bone. I used the Kizlyar Supreme Ural to debone a goat neck, cut up onions, feather lots of Birch wood, used a baton on the spine to split up Birch wood for a fire, cut up dried meats both on dirty (ok it was sort of clean) Birch wood and also HDPE boards, cut skewers (green wood) shave a bit of fat wood and more. The edge was just like it was out of the box LOL. Another great heat treat from Kizlyar Supreme. For those of you thinking I was going hardcore for no gloves in the snow, LOL, of course I had gloves but I chose not to wear gloves for the test (as in 99% of my tests), even though it was very cold LOL because i want to know the real comfort of the knife.I don&care what the steel is if the handle is like holding onto a brick covered in spikes LOL! The URAL comes with a lifetime warranty, a full leather scabbard (welt construction) sewn with thick thread and also riveted, regular carry belt loop plus included dangler.
