It was the first pop album released in stereo—Jamie Records was encouraged to release the album in stereo because stereo versions of vinyl albums cost $1 more than monaural. It included Duane&first hit single, "Rebel Rouser," and four subsequent charting singles to become one of the most successful early pop-music albums of the modern rock &roll era.
