Alto venova Yvs-120 is a fun instrument to play with. I&been playing the alto venova for about 1 year. The more I play, the more I enjoy the instrument. I use a Yamaha as-4c mouthpiece for the venova. I found out that the stock mouthpiece of the venova has a slightly bigger tip opening than the 4c. For me, the 4c is easier to play and sounds better than the stock mouthpiece. I also use a rovner platinum replication ligature (about 10 usd on alibaba). It really improves the sound of the venova.
