He is known to destroy all kinds of evil, be it physical in nature, or fear, or calamities as a result of planetary configuration, if one prays to Him from the heart. Devotion to Lord Narasimha protects one in all circumstances, a real story of which is given below. A very young girl of European descent, in Cape Town, South Africa, was a fan of Lord Narasimha. She called Him Lion-God, and always thought of Him. Once, while she was playing on the road near her house, a speeding truck dashed against her tossing her in a road-side bush many feet away. Her father who saw the accident ran to the spot and carried the unconscious child to a hospital where doctors had all tests carried out; and to their greatest surprise reports showed no fracture, no damage.
