Lately I&been busy with a lot of work at music for documentaries. One day I thought that some things I had recorded might be interesting for people. In respect that people often ask me "how do you make your sound" or "how do you record". This is no way a comprehensive tutorial, but I think it might be useful in this or that way for beginners. It is a bit far from soundscapes (that&what my Youtube channel is mostly dedicated to), but it gives an idea how my workflow is generally set up. I don&use a lot of devices in my guitar live and studio playing, but those that I use are very versatile. They are: Roland VG-99 (unfortunately guys from Roland stopped producing it and even stopped soft and drivers support, so if you think of your OS upgrade you&better check it twice - for example, no support in Windows 10) Strymon TimeLine (delay) Strymon BigSky (reverb) Fishman Aura Spectrum DI (brings back more realistic sound to your acoustic instrument driven with a piezzo pickup) Boomerang III Phrase Sampler Roland GR-33 (midi guitar processor, don&use it much for some reasons now) There are several moments about this vid and guitar recording in general that I would like to point out. 1) Do use Strymon BigSky&cab filter when you play and record in LINE (no combo)! When switched ON it makes a good job even after VG-99&cabinets emulation. In fact sometimes I use Strymon BigSky only as a cab emulator - no reverb - just "cab filter ON". But it goes well only for those guitars that...
