Boss ME-50B In-Depth Review #4: FILTER/TONE

READ IMPORTANT DESCRIPTION BELOW: This is fourth part of my Boss ME-50B multieffects processor review series. In this video I will run through the very funky FILTER/TONE section. This section can bring you not only several types of autowah effect, but also octave up/down, several tone shaping features, frequency enhancing or even turn your fretted bass to fretless, using unique Defretter effect. Note that Noise Suppressor function is always ON, and Master Section is set to so not affect on overall sound. T.WAH UP/DOWN/EDGE - alters the wah effect in response to the level at the time the bass is played. T.WAH UP - The filter shifts to higher frequencies in response to the input. T.WAH DOWN- The filter shifts to lower frequencies in response to the input. T.WAH EDGE - Gives a filter with a stronger effect. OCTAVE UP/OCTAVE DOWN - creates a fatter, thicker sound by adding to the input sound the same sound raised one octave (OCTAVE UP) or lower one octave (OCTAVE DOWN). SLOW GEAR - produces a volume-swell effect (similar to how a violin is played. DEFRETTER - allows you to use a conventional bass to simulate a fretless bass. ENHANCER - clarifies the contour of the input sound by emphasizing the sound following changes in the input level. BOTTOM BOOST/MID SHAPE/HOLLOW - alters the special characteristics of the bass sound. No compression, equalization and other types of post processing. Sorry for clipping.
