Whimsical Ways
This is a test of the LCD adapter board which allows the MRR ESPE to use a common LCD controller: the RepRapDiscount Full Graphics Smart Controller, or more commonly LCD12864. The LCD connector on the MRR ESPE is for a CR-10 stock display, but the adapter breaks out the pins to the standard EXP1 and EXP2 format. The main interface of the MRR ESPE is the ESP3D web interface, which can be accessed through any web browser. Having a LCD controller enables local control without having to pull up the web browser. The MRR ESPE is a 3D printer control board that uses the ESP32, which is a microcontroller with Wi-Fi. When paired with a custom fork of Marlin 2.0 and the ESP3D web interface, it allows 3D printers to be controlled with any web browser. #3dprinting Music used in video:
