Telefunken M15A + RTW1206D Laurent Garnier - Communications from the lab (2000)

This is a Telefunken M15A master recorder, build in 1982 for the ZDF. The machine number is #4009. It features the ZDF-specific black front plate, XLR connectors instead of Tuchel ones, the SZ15A variable speed option, NAB/CCIR, mono-stereo and TC selectable controls. Furthermore, the NeoPilot and TimeCode heads and input/output boards for those are present as well. The trolley is the Truhe 800 with optional shelf. The hours counter show a little over 4600h. The heads in this unit are Vacodur types, 2mm track separation NAB. The tapespeed is 38cm/s, the tape type is BASF 911 (pancake, with AEG bobby). This tape machine does not come with VU-meters as standard. The Peak Program Meter on the shelf is an RTW1206D.
