Strasburg Railroad: N&W Farewell Tour 5-27-2023. Memorial Day Weekend 2023, we head out once again to the Strasburg Railroad in Pennsylvania to see an old favorite of ours. Norfolk and Western Class J In May of 2023, it was announced that 611 would be making her last passenger runs at the Strasburg Railroad after operating there for two years. While on our way to the East Broad Top, we had to make a stop at Strasburg to see some of 611s last runs on Strasburg rails, and we did not regret it in the slightest. In addition to the 611, running the regular passenger train was Strasburg native: Norfolk and Western M class #475. * I am going to make it clear before I see any comments. 611 IS NOT ON THE ROAD TO RETIREMENT....until maybe 2030. It has been announced that 611 will have future operating plans in 2023. Although (at the time of this production) the location is still not officially announced yet. There are plenty of rumors regardless of what is planned and what is not. * Also before anyone asks if me and a couple of my friends trespassed to get the bridge, we asked for permission from the landowners to get shots of both locomotives at the bridge. Do not ever trespass on both railroad property or anyone else&property, and if you do, ask the landowner for permission before you attempt it. A lot of people were trespassing without permission this past weekend. We try our best to not trespass on anyone&property, and we always try to ask for permission if the time...
