Psalm 11 for a Weill Ensemble (Piano Sketch) - Julian R. Munds

#psalm11 Psalm 11 is an unassuming little piece that get&ignored -- except for the middle bits that were turned into a hummable hymn. My treatment of the piece tries to stay as simple as the psalm. Two small themes are used-- one representing the monotonous drive of people trying to reach God and the other representing God looking down on the same people. I think this one mostly works. When I try to inject some 12 tone in the later bit I think it¬ fully successful. Sometimes I have a tendency to overreach-- to be too ambitious. I need to do simple well before I can make strides.
