FAAC 400 Hydraulic Gate Operator Manual Release Instructions

These are easy to follow instructions for putting your gate operator in manual release mode to get it open (generally in the event of an emergency). This is the old style manufactured up till about 2014. After 2014, the manufacturer redesigned the manual release cap. You will use the exact same key but it will open the top "lid" and allow you access to the red knob. Turn the red knob to perform the manual release. Please remember that you are unscrewing an internal valve. The key might be tight to turn at first and if you aren&careful, you could break the key. Also, don&unscrewing it too far and do not crank it down too tight. It should be snug enough for it to operate or lock in place. When opening or closing it by hand, go slow.
