A hand built Fender 5F1 Tube Amp circuit housed in a vintage RCA Color/Bar/Dot/Crosshatch Generator Television Test Equipment Enclosure. Everything is point to point. New Edcor Transformers were used. Tubes installed are per the original 6V6 power tube, 12AX7 preamp tube, 5Y3GT rectifier tube. Front panel has 1/4" TS Input, Volume and NFB pots. Back Panel is Stomp style switch for Power and a toggle for standby. 8 Ohm 1/4" Speaker Cab output. The NFB (Negative Feedback Loop) Control is a nice feature. You get tons of headroom at one end and tons of natural compression at the other. Power cable is a standard 3 prong and is fixed. 6L6 or KT66 tubes can be used. This amp is resistor biased middle of the road so that these other tubes can be used without worry of shortening the other two options lives prematurely. KT66&run on the cold side in this circuit as-is, but sound great, imho. Great sounding amp and very unique. The guy playing is my friend Scot and he is using a Schecter of some sort. This video, unfortunately, does not showcase the natural overdrive this thing is capable of and how loud it can get. I am very impressed with the spectrum of sounds you can get out of an amp with no true "tone" control, but I found that a tone circuit robbed the amp of natural tone and volume.
