Glass offers protection from the elements and a view of what is occurring outside, at the risk of being easily shattered. Glass Flasks often need to be filled with water. This can be done in bulk by taking them to a local water source (river/lake - wells dry up too quickly) and using from the hotbar while in the water. They can also be filled en masse via an Alchemist thrall in the Firebowl Cauldron.
