Wildlife Crossing the Bridge over BR101 Highway, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2021

Since August 2021 Associação Mico-Leão-Dourado (AMLD) has been using camera traps to monitor wildllife use of the bridge built over BR101 highway, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This video includes footage of animals "captured" between September 18 and December 1, 2021. AMLD completed tree planting on the bridge in November 2021. When the trees grow tall enough, golden lion tamarins and other arboreal species will also be able to use the passage to safely cross the highway between forest patches on either side.
