Today we’re looking at a stage dynamic vocal microphone, the Electro Voice ND76. This is an alternative to the SM58, which offers more clarity and detail due to an 8dB boost around 6kHz, and also does a great job at rejecting handling noise and off-axis rejection, however, it doesn’t do the best at rejecting plosives. Buy the Electro Voice ND76 (Amazon) Buy the Focusrite 2i2 (2nd Gen) (Amazon) 00:00 - Intro / Price 00:24 - Setup 00:37 - What’s in the Box 00:59 - Build Quality 01:14 - Specifications 01:30 - Polar Pattern Test 01:47 - Handling Noise Test 01:55 - Background Noise Test 02:03 - Proximity / Distance Test 02:12 - Plosive Rejection Test 02:23 - Music Test 03:14 - Pros & Cons 04:03 - Overall thoughts 05:10 - Conclusion / Recommendation 06:07 - Outro NOTE (FULL DISCLOSURE): If you purchase an item using my amazon link, it provides me a small referral fee.
