How to Insert Navis NWD Model in revit

Subcontractors and other trades may use their own detailing, modeling software . Ask them to provide a Naviswork model as per below instructions. 1. Provide the main model to Subcontractor 2. Require them to follow the same origin as per your main model For e.g. they can XREF your main model and develop thier trade model. To do this they need to open the main model in revit and export it to CAD or ACIS with ORIGIN to ORIGIN (not shared) 3. Open the completed model using Navisworks Manager 4. Export to NWD (without all the lements of main model for e.g doors, columns, concrete etc, otherwise it will be a duplication when this model is inserted into the main model. Ensure only trade scope of work items are present. 5. Open revit, go to Insert "Coordination model" 6. Specify "Origin" 7. TA DA..!!!
