The Rogue is handsomely styled but it&no athlete, and lacks the fun-to-drive character of the Mazda CX-5 or the Volkswagen Tiguan. Practicality and value are the Rogue&strong points, with a spacious cabin, generous cargo room, and a host of standard and optional niceties that SUV buyers crave, including several high-tech infotainment and driver-assistance items. The Rogue&lethargic 2.5-liter four-cylinder has been replaced for 2022 with a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that makes 201 horsepower. The Rogue&CVT transmission has also been revised and is said to aid acceleration and fuel economy. The mid-level SV model offers the best mix of features for the money. It adds niceties such as 18-inch aluminum wheels, an eight-way power-adjustable driver&seat, a 360-degree exterior camera system, and Nissan&ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode. We&spring for the SV Premium package too, which adds a panoramic sunroof, a power-operated rear liftgate, roof rails, and faux-leather upholstery.
