STIHL MS 290 FARM BOSS Chain Saw Will Not Start. How to fix / repair by installing Stihl Service kit for MS290, 310, 390 Chainsaw. My Chain saw was getting so hard to start I would pull and pull and it was taking forever to start if it did start. After I changed the Spark plug and the Fuel filter and the Air Filter, and Clean the carburetor with carb and choke cleaner, it now starts on the First Pull. I did not adjust any of the Carburetor adjustment screws, I only installed the Stihl Service kit. You have to buy this kit form an Authorized Stihl Dealer and it only cost $20.00 You don&need the s/n of the chainsaw when you go in you only need the model number.
